Our lesson last week taught us wonderful things about God’s grace and power. We learned through the miraculous parting of the Red Sea, that God fights for His people and that He also punishes sin. Just as God provided a way of escape for the Israelites, He also provides a way for us to escape the penalty of sin through His Son, Jesus. Because of God’s grace and love, He has made a way for us to know and love Him, through Jesus. 

The Lord, through Moses, had rescued the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. This week we will continue learning about God’s plan to bring the Israelites into the promised land - the land God promised to Abraham’s family. We will see that the Lord is our perfect Provider. He provided for the physical needs of His people in the wilderness and He provided for our spiritual needs by sending Jesus- the Bread of Life (John 6:35). Through Jesus, we can live forever!
